I walked in off the street with my broken vacuum and was greeted with friendly smiles and hellos. After explaining the issue briefly to Scott, he said he’d take a look. He took the vacuum into the back work shop and was back out to me in less than 10 minutes with a fully functioning machine! Amazing. The icing on the cake was that he did not charge me- not one cent. Thank you so much Scott and Mr. Sweeper. I am very grateful for your kind and efficient service.

I came here to have my Dyson repaired. I was greeted right away and the owner took a look and within minutes could tell it was a clog in the hose and was able to remove it on the spot. He then checked my filters and gave me some maintenance recommendations. I was in and out within 15 minutes. Will definitely be back and will be purchasing my next vacuum from them. 10/10 customer service!

Excellent service! I expected to need to leave my vacuum for at least a few days but was in and out with the complimentary free de-clogging service. The team was knowledgeable and helpful. I'll be back again for all of my repair needs and a new vacuum when the time comes.

I had a similar experience as other five star reviews, friendly and excellent service. I brought in a miele vacuum purchased in 2012, quick repair and no charge. If I need to replace my vacuum I know where to go to purchase a new machine. I highly recommend Mr Sweeper.

I brought our Oreck upright into the shop to get looked at. I have used this shop before years ago and had the same experience. Pleasant face and good customer service. Our vac could not be fixed I received a call from Scott with the results of the diagnostic test. The part was no longer available. He mentioned I could choose a new machine with a 10% discount or they can dispose of for no charge. Thumbs up. Support small and family owned businesses.

Mr. Sweeper is great! Recently I went because something got stuck in my vacuum hose. They fixed it right on the spot, with no charge! Wow! That's wonderful service. Another time my vacuum hose broke. They didn't try to sell me a whole new vacuum cleaner, they went to the back, found a used hose and sold it to me for a very reasonable price. I am so impressed with how they work to keep old machines going. This place is the best!

UPDATE:: After writing this review, I suddenly got a call from Mr. Sweeper. They fixed my vacuum, only charged me for the parts, and the vacuum is working really well now. I’m changing my rating from 1 to 3 stars::

I’ve been happy with them in the past but maybe there’s been a change in ownership. I brought my vacuum in for a repair which they said they would look into and get back to me. After a couple of weeks I started trying to get a hold of them to see if the vacuum could be fixed and what the cost would be. After about a week I was able to get a hold of someone who said that they were behind but since it had almost been a month they would bump my vacuum up the list. I approved of the cost of repairs and they said it should be ready in a week or two. Haven’t heard anything from them since. Perhaps they are still a good place to buy new products from but I would find a different repair shop.

I brought my Miele vacuum (20 years old) in for service. Derrick couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. He cleared a clog in the vacuum , and advised me to run it until it needs replacement. He did not pitch a new vacuum, but showed me a comparable one to my existing one, when I asked. I will definitely come here to purchase my machine in the near future. Great service!

I had bought a Kenmore pop n go at kohls a year or so ago...never liked it. Went in here looking for a Sebo or Meile....after doing some online research, I went in to try out a Sebo, Kombi Turbo K2, which they had in stock. Scott was really helpful and patient, answering all my questions and explaining how everything works and attaches. After practically vacuuming their whole store, I went home and happily yes happily vacuumed my house!! Sebo is great, vacuuming is sooo much easier now! I brought my Eureka vacuum to Mr. Sweeper as the cord seemed to be stuck. They fixed the problem and charged nothing. How nice! They were friendly and obliging. It's so nice to have a family owned business in the neighborhood.

Excellent customer service. Friendly and helpful. I had broken part of my miele vacuum and they offered several cost saving alternatives. I bought a replacement part, which they had in stock.

My girlfriend and I went to Mr Sweeper to get our first real vacuum for our new home. The owners Son, Derek, was incredibly knowledgeable and let us try out a bunch of different machines and thoroughly explained the differences. We went with the Sebo D4 based on his recommendation and he gave us a generous trade in discount on our old shark. I highly recommend this family owned business for all your cleaning needs due to their friendly and personalized service. Shop local!

My vacuum wasn’t working properly and I brought it in. Derek was able to help me, he unclogged my vacuum and he did it for no charge. He was extremely helpful and this was a kind service for a small business to do that I feel like big corporations would charge me money for! I highly recommend Mr Sweeper.

Excellent small business. Store manager Mike is extremely knowledgeable about his products and gave me honest guidance in my choice of a vacuum cleaner according to my needs. Prices easily match or beat the Internet. Some of there friendliest and most helpful sales help I’ve encountered in Boston. Support this independent merchant! I’m moving out of Boston, but would gladly drive back in if ever I needed another vacuum cleaner, an accessory, or one of the other products that he sells. (BTW, great selection of sewing machines.)

Had a broken vacuum brought in, that day they called me with it fixed and ready for me to use. Amazing service let me asked talk there ear off. Ended up going back and buying a wet vac gave me an amazing deal and a warranty. Highly recommend if you need a new vacuum or need it to be fixed.

Mike helped me buy my vacuum and allowed me to ask all my questions without any pressure. A true salesman- selling you exactly what you need. The store has a great variety of quality products to choose from. I LOVE my Miele and am so happy I went to the store and talked to a real person who knows the products inside and out. I got a better deal than online too! (Also, this google review wasn’t solicited like some other companies do.)

Mr. Sweeper is one of the places I recommend to anyone in the cleaning industry. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner and his son who now is in charge of the store. Derek, the son, has great knowledge with vacuum's and the repairs he offers. His services is quick and they have great customer service.

Mr.Sweeper is the BEST. I just brought my dinosaur Electrolux vacuum in to see if by some miracle it could be repaired and to my shock and amazement the friendly staff found a clog in the hose and wa -la my Electrolux will continue to clean my home! I came in without an appointment and they helped me right away! I highly recommend this business!

Went in with what I thought was a broken vacuum. Scott quickly noticed that my vacuum was not broken but instead clogged with two dirty filters. He changed them out and cleaned the machine in under 10 minutes. Very happy this business is in my neighborhood!

The brothers who co-run this store care greatly about customer service and really helped me. I simply came needing a new filter, and they told me I could get it from the manufacturer online or cheaper online through a secondary market. They offered to order for me and I picked up at the store without an additional charge. I will return when I want to actually buy something. I may invest in central vacuum and they do sell this product and install as well.

What a great, family-owned business!

The staff are kind, patient, and generous, and I’m so glad that this location is still around (even though we will miss them out in Waltham)! I’ve been visiting this shop for years and told my friends to go to them- I hope they continue for generations to come!

I notice my review has been removed, so I’m attempting to remember details to repost. Essentially, this business wants to sell you their products, not repair them. They strung me along for months by keeping my sewing machine while I thought they were repairing it. They had excuses every time I called! They then told me that they had some nice sewing machines that I could buy, but I just wanted my older machines repaired. I wouldn’t give these people the time of day, much less give them my business. I ended up getting back my two machines and having them repaired in four days at another place closer to where I live.

Love Mr. Sweeper! I have both purchased and repaired vacuums with Mr. Sweeper! They’re the best! Knowledgeable, honest, helpful and just great people! Very highly recommend Mr. Sweeper!

I have an older dyson animal that I brought in because I had taken it apart to clean and couldn’t get one of the parts back on correctly. Had to leave it overnight which was fine. The next morning Mike called me and told me a part was missing and he couldn’t fix it without the part. No part was missing. Went and picked up my machine. No charge. I spent less than 10 minutes on utube to find a video demonstrating how to fix it. Did it myself and it now runs great!! Should have done that before I went to Mr. Sweeper. I would have paid him for his labor. All he had to do was look up the schematic to see no part was missing. Mustn’t want to spend time on older vacuums? Who knows. Oh well, I gave him a chance.

I brought my Kenmore sewing machine in to Mike and didn't think he had the bobbin mechanism I needed. He went down to his storage area and I was delighted when he returned with the part. I'm back in business for only $14.95.

Mike was very helpful, curious, and professional. I dropped off my old Brother machine that I had bought 15 years ago from them. He called and told me that it would cost more to have it fixed than to buy a new one. He explained exactly what was broken, and I agreed with his analysis. I will be buying a new one from them soon!
