I ca not say enough good things about Certified Vacuum! A piece of fluff got sucked into my vacuum and completely clogged the hose. No matter what I tried, I could not get it out. I was in a panic because I had guests coming over that day and needed to vacuum the house.

I called Certified Vacuum, and they were so friendly and reassuring. They told me to bring it in, and they would take care of it. True to their word, as soon as I arrived, they unclogged the hose in seconds! I could not believe how fast and efficient they were.

Not only did they save me from buying a new vacuum, but their kindness and professionalism made the whole experience amazing. I highly recommend Certified Vacuum to anyone needing vacuum repairs or help. Thank you for saving the day!

Great prices for vacuum cleaner parts. Wonderful location for vacuum cleaner service (quick/cheap/done right). Wonder family business; a pleasure to work with. Certified Vacuum has been keeping my 25+ year old Electrolux Epic 6000 running for when no one else could. Today they repaired the Power Wand attachment. Don't go anywhere else for vacuum cleaner service.

Finding a service person you can trust is not easy. Certified Vacuum established trust immediately by diagnosing my problem over the phone and doing the background work to see if repair was even possible. Once it was established that it wouldn't be, the staff recommended a good replacement that will last a long time without breaking my budget. The installation was fast and friendly and they had me up in running better than before. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

We had an older central vac system in our home that we didn't use for the first 10 years we lived here. Jay and his team helped us to revive the old system and modernize it with a new canister and vacuum head/hose. The experience of using this system versus a conventional vacuum is night and day. I had a great experience with Certified Vacuum--the technician was prompt, friendly, and clearly knew his stuff. I really appreciate that there was no hard selling. I purchased one new vacuum for my central vac system, but he discouraged me from replacing my second vacuum, saying it was in good enough shape to last me a few more years. It's not often that you get this kind of honesty from someone who could make an additional sale, but it goes a long way toward building a good customer relationship. When I do need to replace this vacuum down the road, I will definitely buy it from Certified Vacuum.

I brought in my Kirby vacuum cleaner be be fixed recently. Jay the owner fixed it immediately at a very low cost and took the time to show me how to clean it to keep it functioning properly. He even showed me features I was not familiar with. I appreciate the service they offer and would go back again.

If customer service is a lost art, it is NOT lost here. Jay and his team were respectful, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the problem I was having with my vacuum. When my 30 year old vacuum cleaner needed a new drive belt, I contacted Certified Vacuum in Shrewsbury, MA. Jim, the owner, assured me he had a replacement belt in stock. I drove to his place of business with my vacuum cleaner in the trunk. After a friendly greeting, Jim immediately produced the needed belt at a very reasonable price. In response to my question about how to install the new belt, he invited me to retrieve my cleaner from my car and in a matter of minutes he demonstrated how to install the new belt by doing it! He refused to accept my offer to pay him for the installation. It been many, many years since I’ve experiences such friendly and expert customer service. I had forgotten how great it feels to do business with someone who enjoys their work and is an expert at what he does.

I went in to buy a vacuum today and Jay & Donna were very helpful. Online research was fine but having someone to explain all the terminology and the pros/cons to each brand was very helpful. They answered questions and helped figure out which model and brand would be best and were able to help me avoid buying something that was more than I needed. They had multiple brands/models, accessories, bags, and filters in stock and are located right off the main road which was nice. They were also very respectful of staying masked! Happy to have stopped by and supported a local business!

Stopped in to gather information regarding our central vacuum system that is 40+ years old. Jay and Donna were more than happy to take the time to give advice as to whether to replace existing system or do some available upgrades. There was absolutely no pressure to “just replace it”. We ended up doing the available upgrades but if the time comes that the system needs to be replaced, Certified Vacuum will be the one that we purchase from. Nicest people to work with. Absolutely would recommend! They are a family owned business and have wonderful customer service. Both Jay and Donna were a pleasure to work with, were punctual, knowledgeable, and very fairly priced. Their install process was quick and easy and they would always check in before they came to the house. They installed our central vac in our reno during COVID and were absolutely the most reliable and easy service during this crazy time. Could not say enough good things!

I seldom trust when a business has ALL 5⭐️ ratings…usually it’s a few friends and family members padding the stats. BUT, Certified Vacuum Repair is the exception. Over 160 perfect scores is not a mistake…this place is fantastic!! Stopped in after work today, figuring I’d need to leave the vac for a week or two…the man did it while I waited!! Granted it wasn’t a major repair, but nonetheless he did it on the spot. Even better was the terrific conversation afterwards; I gladly spent more time chatting with him than it took to repair the Bissel. I can’t recommend Certified Vacuum Repair more highly, and more so Jay Wilson. Just a terrific guy!! He is the reason we need to support small businesses like his…a guy who does it right. We had a hide a hose installed in our house in October. It was a great decision. Jay and Donna, from our initial call, through installation, and after were helpful and responsive. I never once felt like they were trying to sell me something. They were upfront about everything and were patient with our questions. We had a small problem one day and Jay walked us through on the phone and saved us from a service call. We would highly recommend Certified Vacuum.

I have a central vacuum system that has served well for more than 20 years. We’re about to sell the house and were cleaning it up this past week for an open house on the weekend. Just as we had begun vacuuming, the system suddenly went on the fritz, putting our open house preparations at risk.

I know nothing about the inner workings of a central vacuum system so I called several repair services, not knowing if any were even open during this time of social distancing and business shutdowns. Jay at Certified Vacuum was the first to return my call.

During a quick call with Jay, he said that he would definitely come out to the house to do the repair. But he explained that there was something that I could try to fix the system myself, and might take only 10-15 minutes with no expertise needed.

I followed Jay’s instructions and voila! Problem solved and I was back on track with the clean up for my open house.

Jay could easily have capitalized on the situation, made the house call, and charged me a boatload for it. He didn’t need to explain to me how to resolve the issue on my own. But he did, and asked for nothing in return.

It can be hard to find service providers who conduct their business with honesty and integrity. But Jay and Certified Vacuum is one such business. I would, and will return to this business in the future, comfortable that I will be treated fairly. I highly recommend this business.

Jay came out to service our 20 year old central vacuum system. He found some leaky seals and checked the whole system from top to bottom. Very professional and friendly They were the only central vac company to say they would even come to my house to fix what I thought was a clog. The whole experience working with Jay and his wife Donna, who took the reservation, was amazing!

We have an in house vacuum system that had been changed from the original (now outdated) system to a newer one 18 years ago. Our handle had been dropped many times and was broken so the rods/tubing did not stay in. We called and the lady was very helpful and told us Certified Vacuum could help us. We went to them and the owner was very helpful. In fact he had just thrown out a handle & hose that was having intermittent problems. See we did not need the electrical connection, he gave us the one he was throwing out. We bought a new head as ours was broken. We came away with great respect for their helpfulness and generosity. We will see them again if we have any further issues.

We appreciate their thinking "outside the box", honesty and helpfulness.

I brought my 30 year old power head and hose into Certified Vacuum because I was having trouble with the power head. The owner did a quick diagnostic check and was able to get it to work. I really appreciated his honesty. Given the age of my system, I expected to be told that I needed to replace my equipment. When it finally does give out, I will definitely return to Certified Vacuum to replace it. Thank you!

We have worked with Jay and Donna at Certified Vacuum for years. We first found them when we needed to have canister vacuums repaired and received quick affordable service. Later we moved to a home that already had a central vac system installed and in the subsequent years we've returned to Certified Vacuum many times to replace accessories, for parts and supplies to modify or add to the existing system. They are extremely friendly and always ready with helpful advice. We really appreciate being able to work with a great small business like Certified Vacuum rather than Home Depot or Lowes!

Certified Vacuum is definitely THE place to go for both sales and service. The management is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. I bought my vacuum in another state, and just moving here could not get my vacuum to work. I took it here where it was diagnosed and a new motor was ordered and replaced. I paid nothing as it was under warranty, yet was treated as though I had purchased their most expensive vacuum!! I highly recommend Certified Vacuum and will definitely send others to do business here!

Friendly service and good equipment, but terrible installation. Poor quality inlet valves, poor workmanship, no attention to detail. Valves were installed mounted only to drywall, not studs. Valves are constantly coming loose, breaking internally, breaking the drywall, etc. Multiple electrical failures. Mounting screws driven through control wiring. Very poor installation. I've lost track of how many repairs I've had to do on this system in only two years, starting from day one. The owner has sent several technicians over to make repairs, but the malfunctions continue. While diagnosing malfunctions myself I have found that during prior "repairs" broken valves were not actually replaced but jury-rigged with makeshift components that later failed. No permanent solutions from the owner, just excuses that the installation could not be done properly because it was on existing construction. I had a central vacuum installed on existing construction by Only Central Vacuum in Spencer, MA and never had a single problem with it up until we sold the house 10 years later.

Jay and Donna were fantastic to work with and always treated me with respect and understanding. When working with either of them, they spoke to me honestly and focused on my needs as opposed to trying to sell me the most expensive vacuum they had in stock.

What impressed me the most was that their support did not end after the purchase; when I got home and noticed that the manufacturer had forgot to include a part with the vacuum, Jay instantly offered to replace it without any further questions.

There are a couple things I think people should be aware of before shopping here: 1. They carry the best vacuums around. Do not expect to find a dirt devil or other Chinese made brands here. 2. The image on Google maps is accurate. It really is located in a barn in a residential area. Follow the directions and you'll be on your way to the best vacuum shop around.

I look forward to buying my bags in the future just to say hi to the owners!

No pressure...will invite you to their store as it's chance to really see what you may be buying, but I trust Jay enough that I do most of my business over the phone. I needed a new hose for my Nutone system which is 18 years old and sometimes difficult to find parts and accessories for. The owners were super friendly but more importantly very knowledgeable about my system. They were honest and gave me a fair price. It was definitely worth the hour drive. 1st time customer for this company I called to have a home service repair on my central vacuum system and they were able to fit me in within a couple of days. Technician checked the whole unit & with owners help still could not figure out the issue with the vacuum head. They suggested for me to stop in their shop so the owner could see for himself and trouble shoot the problem. Drove over to their shop and within 5 minutes the owner figured out the issue and would have to order the part. Which meant I had to come back but, before I would leave their parking he came out running to tell me he found the part needed and if I would wait a few minutes he would do the repair. Well I was only too happy to wait and it was truly my lucky day. I totally appreciate the customer service from owner/Jay and his lovely wife. I would highly recommend this business to anyone.
